Sandi & Phil {Married} Part 1
One fine day just a couple of years ago… Sandi’s Dad walks into the house and announces that there is to be another wedding in the family. Sandi’s head shoots up. Hmmm apparently this was the first she’d heard of it!! Phil had only just asked for Dave’s permission for his daughters hand in marriage. Whoops, he must of missed the part where it was a surprise!! But I guess he made Phil’s job easy in popping the question for him.
March 8th was a spectacular day. Man have we had an incredible summer indeed. With temperatures creeping up towards the 30’s, The Greta Valley was spectacular on Friday for Sandi and Phil’s big day!
Meet the handsome Groom. You can call him Roger or Phil… I’m pretty sure he will answer to either of these by now (explained a little later on)…
The guys got ready out in Motenau Beach and headed to the Greta Tavern before the ceremony to watch a spot of cricket.
Out in Waipara at Sandi’s parents where Sandi grew up. The girls are perfectly relaxed. The property itself has been within the family since 1882 and that wee playhouse down there turned up one Christmas for Sandi and her sisters. Funny thing is… I didn’t know that when I placed the dress there. Imagine how stoked I was when I found that out! :)
One word to describe the gorgeous flowers and the bridesmaid dresses. And that is ‘YUM’!
I had walked into such a relaxed environment. But as soon as the dress went on… it was a task to keep the tears at bay. Happy tears of course! :)
The final daughter to be married, Sandi’s parents Marie and Dave are pretty proud of their youngest daughter.
Back in December, Camo was Best Man for Juliet and Henry in Queenstown. Camo and Sandi’s sister Karen bought a nephew into the world just in time for Aunty Sandi’s wedding. And Angus is just the cutest wee man around!
Sandi, You are so incredibly beautiful.
The time soon came around to jump in the car and head to the same church where 3 generations have married within Sandi’s family.
I loved St Raphaels the moment I walked in. It has such a light beautiful summery atmosphere. And here Phil awaits his beautiful bride.
Don’t stop here… we are still in the middle of the ceremony… Follow me through to Part 2 by clicking the photo below!!
